question A few sites quietly tightened the free sign-up offers this week

Anyone else seeing this? Been poking around the promo pages the last few days and a bunch of the sign-up freebies look a fair bit tighter than they were even a month or two back.

Main stuff I keep running into: smaller amounts, spins locked to one pokie instead of a choice, max cashout shaved right down, and some places wanting full ID sorted before they even chuck the bonus on. Used to be you could at least have a spin first and worry about docs later if you actually jagged a win.

Not saying the offers are dead or anything, just feels like the cleaner ones are getting rarer. A lot of them now read alright on the banner, then you click through and it's 50x or 60x playthrough, 24 hour expiry, winnings capped so low it's barely worth the mucking around. Fine if you're just testing a new site I reckon, bit rough if you're hoping to turn a free crack into an actual cashout.

If you've spotted any recent changes, or if you've found one that's still decent without heaps of hoops, post it up. Keen to know which sites are still fair dinkum with these and which ones are just dressing up a pretty average deal.

Had one last arvo where the spins showed up straight away, then any winnings just got frozen behind the ID check. Sort of kills the point for me, I use those freebies to see if the place feels smooth before I even think about putting my own cash in.
