question Bit of a shift lately: the free sign-up promos are getting fussier

Anyone else seeing this lately? A lot more of the sign-up freebies seem to be hidden behind rotating little code words now, and half the time the offer page says one thing then the cashier says another. A year or two back it was pretty straightforward, chuck your details in and you’d know straight away if you were getting the spins or the small chip. Now I’m seeing expiry windows, country filters, weird game exclusions and max cashout caps getting tighter every other week.

Not having a whinge for the sake of it, just flagging it because a few sites have quietly changed the setup. Some are making you opt in through live chat, some only load the freebie after email verification, and a couple I checked this arvo had different terms on mobile compared to desktop... bit dodgy if you ask me. If you’ve been around these offers for a while you can usually spot the traps pretty quick, but newer players are gonna get caught by the fine print heaps.

The main ones I keep running into now are: code only works on first deposit page even though it’s meant to be a free sign-up deal, wagering starts the second the credit lands, and the allowed games list is tiny. Seen a few with 100x or worse attached as well, which is basically there so they can say the offer exists without anyone getting much out of it. Bloody annoying when the headline makes it sound decent.

Curious what everyone else is finding at the moment. Are there still any of these floating around that are actually worth the 5 minutes, or are most of them just bait now? If you’ve had one credit properly recently without having to jump through hoops, post it up — and if a site knocked you back over some sneaky term, chuck that in too so people know what to avoid.

nah I wouldn't say it's all bait yet. Reckon half the problem is those promo roundup pages leaving dead codes up for ages, then people blame the casino when the thing was already cooked. The decent ones are still around, they just get snapped up or pulled quick and the rubbish hangs around forever.
