question Freebie sign-up promos seem to be popping up again??

Just saw a few casino sites aimed at Aussies bringing back those join-up deals where you get a little crack at the pokies without having to chuck in your own cash first. Feels like there were barely any around for ages, then all of a sudden they’re everywhere again.

Bit curious what everyone’s seeing lately — are any of these actually decent, or is it still the usual tiny bonus + wild turnover + max cashout that makes it barely worth the hassle? I’m not expecting miracles, just wondering if there are any proper ones floating around at the moment.

If you’ve claimed one recently, keen to know what you actually got out of it... free spins, a few bucks in bonus funds, weird verification stuff, any catches hidden in the fine print, that sort of thing. Would save a few of us wasting an arvo signing up to dodgy ones.

Chuck in any recent finds or warnings, mates.

Best tip is ignore the flashy banner and read the promo rules first. I check the cashout cap and whether the winnings stay as bonus money before I even sign up, saves heaps of mucking around.

i'm pretty cynical with these now tbh. A lot of the random sites use the freebie to get you through rego, then once you hit anything they want selfie, ID, proof of address, sometimes more... starts feeling like bait pretty quick.

I wouldn't write them off completely. If you treat them as a way to test the site rather than expecting a proper score, they can still be useful. The ones worth bothering with usually make the promo conditions easy to find straight away, and if it's buried all over the place I just move on.
