question Signed up for a couple of freebie offers this arvo - here's what actually happened

Been mucking around with a few of those sign-up freebies lately, the ones where you don’t have to chuck in your own cash straight away, and yeah... pretty much what I expected lol. They look unreal when you first see them, usually free spins or a tiny bit of bonus balance, but once you’re in there it’s heaps of fine print. Wagering can be rough, certain pokies don’t count properly, and a couple had a max cashout so low it barely felt worth the effort.

One thing that annoyed me more than the bonus itself was how long some places take to get to the point. You claim the offer, have a spin, maybe jag a small win, then suddenly you’re dealing with ID checks, game restrictions, weird bonus expiry times, all that stuff. Fair enough if they need verification, not having a whinge about that part, but some sites make the whole thing feel like a bit of a stitch-up. The better ones are the ones that just tell you straight what you can play, what the turnover is, and how much you can actually withdraw if you get lucky.

If I had to give my quick take, these offers are decent for having a squiz around a new site and seeing if the lobby, payments and pokies are any good, but I wouldn’t go in thinking it’s free money. More like a test drive. Keen to hear which ones you lot reckon are actually worth bothering with, and which ones are just bait with impossible terms slapped on the back end.

Did any of them actually let you cash out from the freebie without making a deposit first, or did they all spring that on you later? that’s the bit putting me off, keen to know if you found any that were upfront about it.
