question Zero-chuck-in offers worth touching anymore or all rubbish?

Maybe I’m just getting crankier with this stuff, but most of the join-up freebies I see now look bloody terrible. Tiny amount, insane wagering, half the games blocked, then some sneaky little cashout cap if you somehow jag a win. Feels like they dangle a sausage and call it dinner.

Has anyone actually found a site lately where the free starter offer is decent and not packed with gotchas? I’m not expecting magic money here, just something fair enough to have a proper crack on the pokies without having to chuck in my own cash first.

I reckon the free spins style promos are usually less dodgy than the little bonus balance ones too, because at least you sort of know what you’re getting. The random "$10 on signup" type deals always seem to turn into pages of nonsense once you read the terms... or after you win, funny that.

If you’ve had one recently that was actually worth the hassle, chuck it in here. Keen to hear which places are legit and which ones are just taking the piss.

Big thing I check now is what happens to winnings from the free spins themselves. Some sites move it into cash, some convert it into another locked bonus balance and that's usually where the headache starts. Also worth checking the expiry first because a few of those offers disappear stupidly fast.
