question Been testing the top-up offers lately — a few patterns keep showing up

I’ve been taking a closer look at those follow-up promos lately, the ones they flick through after your first deposit, and honestly a lot of them look better in the email than they do once you open the terms. If you’ve played around with these for a while you probably know the drill already... big flashy percentage, then you scroll down and it’s 40x or 50x, half the pokies are excluded, max bet is tiny, and the thing expires before you’ve even had a proper crack at it.

The ones I don’t mind are the simple weekly offers where you chuck in your usual amount and get a small boost, no weird opt-in hoops, no silly cashout cap, and the wagering is on the bonus only. That’s usually the difference for me. If they’re making you roll the deposit and bonus together, I’m way less keen unless the percentage is genuinely decent. Seen a few lately doing 30% or 40% extra but the fine print absolutely cooks it.

Another thing that bugs me is when they advertise it like it’s a reward for regular players, then it’s only valid on a tiny handful of games or the max bonus is so low it barely moves the needle. Feels a bit stingy, mate. On the flip side, the better ones aren’t always the biggest. I’d take a clean 25% with fair terms over some bloated 100% offer with traps all through it.

Curious what everyone else rates here. Are you still bothering with these promos much, or just playing straight cash now? If you’ve found any that are actually decent lately, keen to hear what made them worth taking.

I sort of disagree tbh. I reckon some of the uglier looking offers are still fine if you were gonna deposit anyway and you're happy to just poke around on small stakes for a while. I care way more about weird cashout caps and game exclusions than the flashy percent up top. Curious what other people do with the short-expiry ones though, skip em straight away or only if they lock out the stuff you actually play?
