question Midweek top-up deals are getting stingier lately, or is it just me?

Bit of news-ish chat for the regulars here... over the last few weeks I’ve seen a fair few sites quietly fiddle with their top-up promos. Not always in a massive way, but enough that you notice it if you’ve been around a while. Lower match rates, higher minimum deposits, shorter claim windows, and those sneaky game exclusions getting longer every time you check the fine print.

The one that stood out to me most was how many of them have gone from a pretty standard weekly reload to weird segmented stuff like "selected players only" or random happy hour drops that vanish by the arvo. A couple are also capping winnings harder than they used to, which can make a decent-looking offer pretty ordinary once you actually run the numbers. If you mostly play pokies, that difference adds up quick.

Reckon this is becoming the new normal? I’m not saying every site has gone tight, but it definitely feels like the better recurring promos are getting harder to find unless you’re already tagged as a VIP or you get lucky with email offers. Keen to hear what others are seeing lately — any places still doing solid reloads without heaps of strings attached?

i reckon some of it is just sites slicing players into tiny groups now. if you skip a week or two, or cash out instead of redepositing, the offers showing in the cashier can change a fair bit. still annoying, just not always a straight across-the-board cut.

What gets me is the mismatch between the email and what actually unlocks after deposit. Are people seeing the ugly max-bet rule more lately too, or is it mostly the win cap stuff? That one burns me way faster than a lower match.

I dunno, I’m not fully with the doom talk yet. A couple I use ditched the giant headline offers, but the smaller reloads have actually been easier for me to clear. Maybe just my account, but is anyone else fine with a smaller one if the terms aren't a mess?

little thing that's saved me a headache: screenshot the promo page and the terms before having a punt. not even for support fights half the time, mostly so you can check later if they quietly changed the game list or expiry. if a site makes me hunt through three menus for it, I usually move on.
