question These top-up promos are getting stingier by the week

Anyone else feeling like the decent top-up deals have fallen off a cliff lately? Past couple of weeks I've had a bunch land in my inbox and half of them look alright for about 3 seconds... then you open the terms and it's some sad little cap, stupidly short expiry, or wagering that's gone completely off its head.

What annoys me most is how they dress it up like they're doing you a favour. "Special offer" yeah right mate, 25 spins on some dead slot and a bonus that vanishes if you blink. A few places used to throw out proper midweek offers worth having a crack at after work. Now it feels like heaps of them are squeezing harder and hoping nobody reads the fine print.

I'm not even expecting miracles, just something fair. If I'm chucking more money in, at least make the promo usable. Don't give me 24 hours, exclude half the games, then slap a win cap on it so low there's barely any point. Bloody pointless.

Curious what everyone else is seeing right now. Are any sites still doing genuinely decent top-up promos or is the whole thing getting worse across the board? Keen to hear who's still worth checking and who's taking the piss.

Nah, I think that's a bit harsh. The offers haven't all turned to garbage, people just lean on them way too much now. If the site itself is decent, the extra is just a nice add-on. If you're joining or depositing only because an email looked flashy, it's usually gonna feel like a stitch-up.

yeah I've been seeing the same sort of thing, especially the ones that disappear by the arvo. That's the bit that annoys me most tbh. Do you lot actually track which places leave promos sitting there for a couple days, or is it just random depending on the account?

I wouldn't focus on the expiry part as much. A lot of these are segmented, so two players on the same site can get completely different offers at the same time. The bigger thing to check is contribution rules and whether any winnings get capped hard, because that's usually where the value falls apart.

Little tip that saves headaches: don't claim anything the second the message lands. Open the cashier first, read the terms there if they show up, and grab a screenshot before you deposit. Also check the excluded games list first if you've already got a couple favourites, no point locking yourself into something you weren't planning to play.
