question Weekly top-up promos have gone proper stingy lately

Bit of a rant/review more than anything, but the repeat deposit deals a lot of sites push now feel heaps worse than they did even a year or two ago. Half of them splash a big match in your inbox like it’s some ripper offer, then you click through and it’s capped at bugger all, only works on a tiny list of games, and the turnover is absolutely cooked. By the time you’ve done the lot, you may as well have just played with cash and saved yourself the hassle.

The ones that do my head in are the sneaky little catches. Tiny claim windows, weird payment method rules, certain slots excluded for no real reason, max cashout so low it kills the whole thing... and somehow they still act like they’re doing you a favour. A few even send the same promo every second arvo with different colours on the banner like we won’t notice it’s the same average deal again. Feels a bit piss-takey ngl.

I’m not saying every extra deposit offer is rubbish, because a decent one with fair wagering and a sensible cap can still be worth a crack. Just seems way rarer now. What do you lot reckon actually counts as a good one these days? Bigger match, lower playthrough, fewer game restrictions, cashback instead? Keen to hear which setups people still bother with and which ones you skip straight away.

I only bother if I was gonna deposit anyway. If it's one of those blink-and-you-miss-it promos that dies by arvo, I skip it. Best quick check for me is whether the turnover hits just the promo bit or your own money too, that usually tells you straight away if it's gonna be annoying.

What I do now is save a screenshot of the terms before claiming anything and check three bits first: whether wagering is on bonus funds only, whether there is a max-bet rule tucked away, and whether winnings are capped after playthrough. If any of those are vague, I leave it alone. The simpler cashback-style promos are often easier to assess because there are fewer moving parts.

Gonna disagree a bit on the cashback angle. Been around long enough to get stitched up by those more than the little top-up deals, mostly because the cashback ends up sticky or split into weird stages and you're still handcuffed to their rules. I'd rather take a smaller offer with clean cashout terms and just move on if the game list looks decent.
