question Hot take: half the pokie sites Aussies rave about are pretty average

Bit of a rant, but I reckon a lot of the sites people keep calling elite are just the same copy-paste setup with different colours slapped on. Same handful of games, same tired promos, same laggy mobile play... then somehow they get talked up like they're miles ahead of everyone else. Nah.

For me, a genuinely good pokie site is pretty simple: games load fast, cashout doesn't turn into a bloody treasure hunt, support actually replies, and the lobby isn't just 900 versions of the same thing with different symbols. If a site has a decent mix and doesn't muck you around when you win, that's already ahead of heaps of them.

Curious what other Aussie punters rate and why. Which ones are actually worth a punt these days, and which ones are all hype? Keen to hear proper opinions, not the usual "this one is amazing mate" with zero detail lol.

Yep, that's the part that matters. I reckon a site can look flash as anything, but if they get all mysterious the second you try to withdraw then it's rubbish. The decent ones don't make you dig through half the menu just to work out how payments are handled.
