question Phone casino apps finally stopped feeling like a chore

Been mucking around with a bunch of casino apps on my phone lately and they’re actually a fair bit better than the old clunky ones from a couple years back. Used to feel like every second app was just a stretched website with giant popups and a pokie lobby that took ages to load. Now a few of them are proper smooth — log in fast, games open without having to tap through five promo banners, and I don’t get dumped out mid-spin every ten minutes.

The stuff that matters to me is pretty basic hey... can I find the slots I want without scrolling forever, does it remember where I was, does it chew through battery like mad, and can I chuck in a quick deposit without the app having a sook. The better ones have finally worked out search and filtering too, which sounds small but makes a huge difference if you’re bouncing between different providers.

Still plenty of rubbish around though. Some of them look slick in the ads, then you open the cashier and it’s a dog’s breakfast, or the app freezes right when you hit a feature and you’re sitting there staring at the screen like... seriously? A couple were fine for pokies but painful for cashing out, and if I have to dig through menus just to find pending withdrawals I’m probably deleting it that arvo.

Curious what everyone else is using on mobile now. Which ones are actually worth keeping installed, and which ones went straight in the bin for you?

I dunno mate, I reckon heaps of them are still just dressed-up browser tabs. Half the time the app wants notifications, location, the lot, then logs me out if I swap over to messages for 20 seconds. I've gone back to playing in the browser on most sites because it's less of a headache.
