question Seeing more local-friendly slot sites lately... new rules or just timing?

Been getting the feeling the pokie scene aimed at Aussies has gone a bit nuts lately. More chatter, more new sites popping up, more random mentions of game providers I swear I barely saw before. Not talking hype stuff either, just feels like there’s been a shift somewhere and I can’t tell if I missed some actual news or if it’s just one of those weird patches where everything lands at once.

Couple mates have said the same thing, especially around banking options and the amount of mobile-first sites showing up. Makes me wonder if something changed behind the scenes with licensing, payment processing, affiliates going harder, or if operators have just decided Australia is worth chasing again. I’m keen to know if anyone here has heard anything proper because I keep seeing bits and pieces but nothing clear.

Anyone else noticed it lately? More choice, different promos, new brands, old brands reappearing... or am I cooked and reading too much into it? If you’ve seen any actual news on where things are heading for us over here, chuck it in.

I reckon you're reading into it a bit too much tbh. Feels more like the same mob getting louder with mobile stuff and payment talk, not some massive change behind the scenes. I've seen these bursts before when affiliates start spraying promos everywhere and suddenly it looks like the whole scene shifted.
