question Blackjack with a real dealer still worth it now?

Been knocking around blackjack, roulette and a bit of baccarat for years now, and I’m starting to wonder where everyone’s landed with the live stuff compared to the regular digital tables.

For a while I was proper keen on live dealers. Felt closer to sitting in a real casino, easier to stay focused, and I actually played fewer dumb hands when there was a human dealing instead of me smashing the bet button every 5 seconds. Roulette was the same too, especially when you could settle into one table for a decent stretch and not get punted around the lobby.

Lately though... I dunno. Some sessions feel bloody slow, especially at night when the seats fill up, people take ages, chat box carries on, side bets everywhere, and you miss a shoe because you joined half a second late. Then I jump back to the standard tables and suddenly I’m getting through hands heaps quicker and not waiting around for other punters.

Rule sets matter a lot too, which newer players sometimes gloss over. A decent blackjack table with sensible limits and proper rules is still miles better than a rubbish fast table dressed up with shiny graphics. Same with roulette variants that sneak in weird extras. I’m at the point where I’d rather have a plain setup that runs clean than all the bells and whistles.

Curious where the experienced crew are at with it now. Are you still spending most of your time on live dealer games, or have you drifted back to the faster stuff? And if you are sticking with live, what makes a table worth parking yourself at these days — lower mins, good camera angle, fewer side bet traps, faster dealers, quieter tables?

Reckon this has changed a fair bit over the last couple of years, so keen to hear what others are actually playing and why.

100%. Little tip I use now, I watch a few rounds before I even sit down. You can spot pretty quick if the dealer keeps things moving, if half the table is spraying side bets, or if the whole thing is gonna drag. I reckon that tells you more than the fancy lobby thumbnails ever do.
