question How do you judge a real-table setup in the first 5 minutes?

I've been bouncing around the table sections a fair bit lately and after a while you can usually tell pretty quick whether it's worth sticking around or not. For me it starts with the stream straight away — if it's laggy, the camera angle is rubbish, or the dealer pace feels weird, I'm already halfway out the door. Same with blackjack if the shoe feels like it takes bloody forever between hands.

What do you lot check first? I always look at the rules before I even sit down now. Stuff like whether you can double after split, how many decks, how they handle side bets, whether the interface is cluttered to hell. Roulette too — if the wheel view is dodgy or there's that awkward delay after no more bets, nah mate, not keen. Baccarat I'm a bit less fussy on, but I still want it clean and quick, not some cramped mess with half the screen covered in stats.

Another thing that gets me is when a site brags about having heaps of tables but half of them are dead, or the decent ones have a queue every arvo and night. I'd rather have fewer options that actually run smooth than fifty rooms no one's sitting in. And some dealers just control a table better than others, simple as that. Good rhythm, no stuffing around, chat not getting in the way of the game... makes a bigger difference than people admit.

Curious what the instant green flags and red flags are for everyone here. Do you care more about the provider, the rules, the speed, the dealers themselves, or just whichever table feels right on the night? Chuck in your pet hates too, I reckon everyone who's played these for a while has at least a couple.

yep, that bit matters way more than the flashy studio stuff. I reckon I can forgive a plain setup if the dealer keeps the table moving and actually notices misclicks or late bets without turning it into a whole drama. Do you lot ever just lurk a few rounds first to get the vibe or am I the only one doing that
