Been mucking around on the streamed tables the last few nights after mostly sticking to pokies and the usual instant blackjack stuff, and yeah... I kind of get the appeal now. Thought it was gonna feel a bit gimmicky but having an actual person run the game makes it way easier to stay engaged. Roulette felt pretty decent, blackjack too, even when I copped a few rough hands.
The pace threw me off at first though. If you're used to smashing through spins or quick rounds, it can feel slow as. Waiting for bets to close, cards to come out, other players doing whatever they're doing in chat... not always ideal if you're just keen for a quick session after work. Still, it feels a bit less robotic, if that makes sense.
I also noticed the whole setup matters heaps more than I expected - camera quality, audio, how smooth the stream is, whether the host is actually switched on or just going through the motions. Some rooms feel pretty sharp and easy to settle into, others are a bit meh and I'd rather bail after 5 minutes.
Just curious where everyone else lands on it. Do you lot actually prefer the real-table stuff over the instant games, or is it more of an occasional novelty? And which games are best for it - blackjack, roulette, baccarat, crazy side-show style stuff? Reckon I'm still figuring out if it's something I'll keep coming back to or just a once-in-a-while arvo thing.
