Been messing around with the live dealer stuff a fair bit lately instead of the usual spins, and yeah... I kinda get why people get hooked on it. Feels a lot less mindless when there’s an actual dealer there and you can watch the cards or the wheel instead of just hammering a button every 2 seconds.
For me blackjack’s still the best of the lot. Easy to settle into, pace is decent, and if the stream quality is good it actually feels pretty close to sitting at a real table. Roulette can be good too, but some of the tables are way too packed and you end up waiting around like a drongo just to get the next spin. Baccarat is alright if you’re into it, just never really grabbed me the same way.
The main thing that makes or breaks it for me is the setup. If the video is clean, dealer isn’t flat as a tack, and the betting time isn’t stupidly short, I’m keen. If the stream is laggy or the table limits are all over the place, I’m out pretty quick. Had a couple where the whole thing looked bloody cheap and I couldn’t be bothered after 10 minutes.
One thing I do rate though is being able to jump on later at night and still find a proper table running. Suits the Aussie time zone way better than I expected. A few of the auto-translation chat bits and weirdly fake cheerful dealers still crack me up, but whatever, as long as the game runs smooth.
Curious what everyone else reckons — are you actually into the live tables or do you still prefer RNG games? And if you do play them, what do you go for most... blackjack, roulette, baccarat, crazy game show stuff, something else?
