Had a look across a few sites this week because I was getting a bit over the standard RNG tables and wanted to see which live dealer setup actually feels smooth for Aussie players. Not trying to do some big top 10 thing, just a straight player review after a few sessions on blackjack, roulette and a little baccarat.
The main difference for me was stream quality and table choice. The better ones loaded quick on both desktop and mobile, had clear camera angles, and enough tables open that you weren't sitting around waiting for a blackjack seat. A couple looked decent in the lobby, then once I jumped in they felt clunky as hell - little delays, laggy chat, bets taking a second to register, that sort of stuff.
Bet limits were all over the place too. Some were easy enough if you only want to chuck a small bet on in the evening, others went straight into higher limits and didn't feel very casual. I also found some interfaces were way too busy on mobile, heaps of side bets and flashing bits everywhere. For roulette I can live with that, but for blackjack I really just want a clean screen and a dealer who keeps the game moving.
Dealer quality still makes a big difference imo. The better tables had dealers who explained things properly, kept a steady pace, and didn't make the whole thing feel robotic. The rougher ones weren't even terrible, just a bit awkward or slow, and that drags after a while. I also noticed peak times can change everything - some tables were packed at night, while others were still easy to get into late arvo.
If you've been on the live tables lately, which providers or sites have actually been solid for you? Keen to hear what's been good for blackjack especially, and whether anyone's found roulette tables that don't get absolutely smashed every evening.
