question Before I chuck money on a new site, whose write-ups do you actually trust?

Been bouncing around a few casino guide sites lately trying to work out which ones are actually useful and which ones are just giving every place 9.8/10 for no reason lol.

I mainly care about the boring stuff first now - withdrawals, ID checks, whether support is actually there when something goes sideways, and if the pokies selection is decent once you get past the homepage fluff. Problem is heaps of review pages all say the same thing and it starts feeling a bit sus.

So what do you lot look for when you're reading about a new site? Do you trust any review sites at all, or do you just go off forum posts and real player comments? Keen to hear if there's any decent Aussie-focused places for honest info, or even just little red flags you reckon give away a rubbish review straight away.

Would be good to hear how other punters sort the legit info from the paid nonsense before signing up anywhere.

yep that's basically my checklist too. If a review bangs on about the sign-up offer for ages and barely says anything about cashouts or verification, I reckon it's rubbish. The useful ones mention the annoying bits, like if support goes missing late at night or if the banking page is a mess.

I always look for how old the writeup is now. Got caught once using a guide that was clearly ancient and the site had changed ownership or layout or something, whole cashier was different and the game list they mentioned wasn't even close. Since then I check forum posts for anything recent before I bother signing up.

nah I wouldn't put forum posts above everything either, mate. Plenty of them are just people blowing up because they lost, or random fresh accounts saying a place is the best thing ever. I still read review sites, I just only pay attention if they actually say what sucked as well. If every joint gets the same glowing score, bin it.
