question Most Aussie casino write-ups read like paid fluff tbh

Bit of a rant, but I swear heaps of the so-called review pages for online casinos here are basically the same thing copied 20 times with a different logo slapped on top.

Everything is somehow "great", every bonus is "amazing", every site gets 9.8/10... then you sign up and find the withdrawals are slow as hell, support disappears, or they hit you with a bunch of mucking around when you try to verify. Makes the whole review scene feel pretty dodgy.

For me the stuff that actually matters is simple: do they pay, how long does it take, are the pokies decent, are the terms sneaky, and do they carry on when you win a bit. The shiny homepage score means bugger all if the cashout process is a nightmare.

So what do you lot actually trust when checking a casino out? Proper forum posts? User comments? A couple of review sites that are actually decent? Keen to hear where people here look before chucking a deposit in, because most of the stuff on Google looks like absolute rubbish ngl.

i don't bother with the score stuff anymore, mate. First thing I check is the banking page, the ID/verification bit, and whether they make it easy to cancel a cashout and keep playing. After that I search the site name in forums and see if the same complaint keeps popping up from different people. One bad post can be a grump, heaps of the same story usually means trouble.
