Bit of a rant, but has anyone else seen how cooked a lot of the Aussie-facing casino review pages have gotten lately? Feels like in the last few weeks heaps of them suddenly reshuffled the same brands to the top, gave them all near-perfect scores, and then wrote basically the exact same blurb with a few words changed. Fast withdrawals, amazing game range, top support... yeah right, where's the actual detail?
What gets me is they barely talk about the stuff punters actually care about. How long KYC drags on for. Whether support vanishes when you ask about a cashout. If the site starts sweet and then turns into a circus the second you win a bit. That's the useful stuff. Not another shiny write-up pretending every lobby is a bloody masterpiece.
Feels like a lot of these ranking sites are getting lazier and more obviously pushed than they used to be, and that's saying something. If a review can't tell me what deposits are smooth for Aussies, which sites get weird with documents, or whether the pokies selection is just the same recycled lot, I'm not giving it much weight.
Curious what everyone else is using now when checking a new site. You still trust any review pages, or do you just come straight to forums and player comments? If you've noticed a site that's gone downhill lately, chuck it in here. Keen to see if it's just me being cynical or if others reckon the same thing.
