Been punting on the footy and racing long enough now that I've had a crack at most of the big names, plus a few of the newer ones that pop up with a flashy promo and disappear from my regular rotation pretty quick. These days I don't really care about the loud ads or the "$100 in bonus bets" stuff. I care if the odds are decent, the app holds together on a busy Saturday arvo, and whether they pay out without carrying on like drongos.
For me, Sportsbet is still the easy all-rounder even if plenty of their boosts are just dressed-up average prices. App is clean, markets are deep, same game stuff is simple, and I don't have to dig around to find what I want. TAB I still keep mainly for racing and the odd exotics play, bit more old-school feel but handy enough. Then I usually keep one extra account floating depending on what sport I'm betting most at the time - PointsBet for some sharper lines here and there, Neds if they've actually got a number up worth taking, that sort of thing. Dabble never really clicked for me... too much social fluff, not enough reason to move real volume there.
Big thing for me now is how quickly a site starts playing silly buggers once you stop betting like a complete mug. Plenty are friendly when you're tossing around multis for fun, different story when you start shopping for price or taking early lines. Limits come in, promos dry up, and suddenly the "VIP" feeling goes missing pretty bloody fast. Same with verification. If I can deposit in 30 seconds but have to send half my life story to withdraw, that's usually a bad sign.
Withdrawals have been mostly fine with the major ones lately, usually same day or next day if it's not the middle of the night, but I still reckon that's one of the easiest ways to judge a bookie. Fast payout, no weird requests, no dramas - good. Start asking for extra docs after you've already had a few bets on, nah, not keen.
Curious what everyone else is still using regularly. Not the one you signed up to for a promo six months back... the ones you actually trust on an AFL or NRL weekend. Who's been solid for you, and who's gone downhill?
