question Before you stick with a bookie, what do you check first?

Been bouncing around a few betting apps lately and half of them look pretty similar at first glance. Same sign-up offers, same flashy front page, then once you actually use them for a bit the differences start showing up... deposits are easy but payouts drag, odds get trimmed at the worst time, live markets freeze, that sort of thing.

So when you're sizing up a bookie, what matters most to you? Fast withdrawals, decent odds on AFL/NRL, limits, app stability, how they handle verification, support actually replying, promos that aren't full of gotchas? Keen to hear how you lot judge them once the honeymoon period wears off.

If you've found one that's been solid for a while, chuck in the reason why. Doesn't need to be a massive write-up, just the stuff that made you keep using it or bin it.

Yep, that's the bit people miss. I can live with a rough app if they don't start chopping my stake the second I put a few decent bets together. If one stays normal once you're actually winning a bit, I reckon that tells you more than any sign-up offer ever will.
