question Local bookie apps seem to be tightening up lately?

Just chucking this up because there’s been a bit going on with the local bookies lately and it feels like a few things have shifted at once. A couple of apps have pushed updates, some promo pages look thinner than they did a few months back, and I’m hearing more people talk about extra ID checks and account reviews kicking in earlier than expected.

Not saying every mob is doing the same thing, but if you bet on AFL, NRL or racing here in Aus you’ve probably noticed the experience isn’t exactly identical from site to site now. Some are still pretty smooth for same-game multis and live markets, some seem quicker on payouts, and some feel way stricter once you’ve had a decent run. Even little stuff like how easy it is to find boosted odds or whether the app falls over on a busy arvo matters more than it used to.

Keen to hear what people are seeing right now. Which ones have actually improved lately, and which ones have gone a bit ordinary? If there’s been a change with limits, withdrawal times, verification, app stability or market range, post it here so we’ve got a current read on who’s decent and who’s becoming hard work.

I reckon people are reading a bit too much into the recent app tweaks. Most of this isn’t new, the different treatment usually shows up once your account stops looking like a mug account and you try to pull money or get a few decent bets on. Flashy front end means bugger all if they get funny the minute you have a good week.
