question Most bookies only look good till it's withdrawal time

Been jumping around a few bookies lately for AFL and NRL and honestly, half of them feel the same right up until you actually need something from them. Sign-up offers are whatever, same boosted odds plastered everywhere, same “feature packed” app talk... I care way more about whether the odds are decent, the app doesn't have a meltdown mid-game, and whether cashing out or withdrawing turns into a bloody chore.

My rough take: Sportsbet is easy to use but the app can feel like it's yelling at you 24/7. TAB still feels a bit clunky to me, like it should be better than it is by now. bet365 has been one of the smoother ones for actually getting a bet on quickly without digging through heaps of tabs. Neds and Ladbrokes... yeah, you can tell they're cut from the same cloth. Not terrible, just not exactly setting the world on fire either.

The thing that really separates them for me is the annoying stuff nobody puts in the ads. Verification times. Random limits when you finally find a price you like. Live bets getting suspended every two seconds. Payout speed. That's the stuff that decides whether I stick around or punt elsewhere next arvo.

Curious what everyone else reckons. If you had to keep just one app on your phone, which one stays and which one gets binned first?

Best thing I ever did was treat a new bookie like a test run first. Tiny deposit, one boring pregame bet, then try a withdrawal before I get too keen. Tells you way more than the flashy promos do, especially when money's heading back out.
