Been punting online long enough to remember when most of the big books felt pretty interchangeable. Lately they really don't. Last couple of months especially, a few of them have shifted in ways that actually matter once you stop caring about the shiny promos and just want a decent place to get your bets on.
Sportsbet still feels the smoothest day to day, TAB's cleaned up a bit on the app side, and Neds/Ladbrokes keep chucking out offers every second arvo... but once you dig past that, the differences are way more obvious now. Limits, same game pricing, how often odds move while you're building a bet, how quick withdrawals land, whether they start getting funny after a few decent collects - that's the real stuff.
AFL and NRL markets are where I've noticed it most. Some books are fine when you're betting mainstream lines and H2H, then go a bit ordinary on player props or niche markets. A couple look good at first glance, then you try to get a proper stake on and it's bugger all. Seen a few boosted markets lately that look alright until you read the fine print too, which is getting old fast.
Thought I'd start a fresh thread for current opinions because a lot of older takes are already out of date. If you've been using a few different bookies lately, who's actually holding up? Keen to hear who's solid for pricing, payouts, and not mucking punters around the minute.
