question When you're sizing up a new bookie, what do you check first?

Keen to hear how everyone here judges a bookie before putting any real money through it. I used to just look at the odds and whether the app felt decent, but these days I care a lot more about the boring stuff too... withdrawals, ID checks, limits after a couple of wins, how they settle markets, whether support actually replies, that sort of thing.

Some look good at first glance then you find out the interface is clunky as, live markets lag, or they promo the hell out of everything and then make you jump through hoops to cash anything out. A few are fine for a quick AFL or NRL punt on the arvo, but not much chop if you want decent racing coverage or same game multis that are easy to build.

Would be good to get a proper thread going with what people here actually rate and what sends you elsewhere straight away. Fast payouts? Fair limits? Better odds on certain sports? Clean app? No dramas with verification? Chuck in the stuff that matters to you, even if it's small, because half the time that's what makes one stand out from the pack.

If you've had a really smooth run with one, or a bloody annoying experience with another, post it up. Reckon it'd help heaps having real punter feedback in one spot instead of just guessing from the front page and sign-up offers.

yeah reckon the boring rules page tells you more than the shiny homepage does. I always check how they handle void legs and weird same game multi stuff now, got burned on that before.
