question Where do you lot check bookie write-ups before signing up?

Been trying to sort the useful info from the fluff when looking at different sports betting sites here, and far out there’s a lot of copy-paste stuff around. Half the write-ups seem to say every bookie is amazing, then you dig a bit deeper and people are complaining about slow withdrawals, limits getting chopped, or the app falling over during a busy AFL or NRL arvo.

When you’re checking out a new site, what do you actually look for in a review? For me the big ones are payout speed, how painful the verification is, whether the odds are any good once the promos are out of the picture, and if the app is stable when there’s live betting on. I also like seeing whether they’re decent for racing as well as sport, because some are alright for footy then pretty average everywhere else.

Keen to hear which review sources you reckon are worth reading, or if you mostly ignore them and just trust forum posts from other punters. If you’ve found any bookie reviews that were spot on — or way off — chuck them in here. Would be handy to get a proper read from people who’ve actually used the sites.

I barely trust review sites anymore tbh. Too many of them read like the same bloke changed a few words and hit publish. Biggest red flag for me is when they rave about a bookie being smooth and reliable but never mention how they know that, like did they actually withdraw or just copy the promo page lol. I reckon forum posts and recent app complaints tell you more than those shiny top 10 lists.
