question Where do you lot check if a bookie’s actually decent?

Been poking around a few betting sites lately and half the ratings pages I find all read the same... every bookie is somehow a 9.8/10 and a "top pick" lol. Makes it hard to tell what’s real and what’s just someone trying to shove you into signing up.

When you’re sizing one up, what do you actually care about first? Quick payouts, odds on AFL/NRL, how rough the turnover stuff is, whether the app falls over on a busy Saturday arvo, how they handle limits, any dramas with ID checks, that sort of thing. I reckon the bits that matter most usually get buried.

Keen to hear how everyone here does it. Do you trust forum posts more than those review pages, or is there somewhere that’s actually pretty honest? Also curious which bookies looked solid at first, then turned into a pain once you started using them properly.

Do you guys test support before you put much in? I usually send a basic question first and see if I get an actual reply or just some copy paste waffle. Curious if anyone else does that
