question Why do so many local books feel copy-paste now?

Bit of a rant, but I reckon heaps of the local bookies are starting to blur into one. Same recycled promos, same boosted odds that barely move the needle, same clunky app layout with a different colour chucked on top. A few years back it felt like there was at least some difference between them... now half of them just feel like the same shop in a different jersey.

The thing that gets me most is when one mob is talked up like it is miles better, then you sign up and it is the usual story: annoying verification, limits come in quick if you have a half decent run, and support acts like they are doing you a favour by answering a basic question. If I am punting on NRL or AFL on a Saturday arvo, I just want solid odds, quick payouts, and an app that does not have a little meltdown right before kickoff. Not asking for a bloody miracle here.

For those who have bounced around a few of them, which ones actually stand out anymore and why? Not the glossy ad version, the real punter version. Who is good for odds, who is decent with withdrawals, and who is all hype and should be avoided?

Keen to hear proper opinions because right now my take is most of them are interchangeable and a fair few are getting worse, not better.

nah, I wouldn't lump them all together. Once you've had a punt across a few seasons you start noticing where each one falls over. Some are fine for the big footy markets then go thin the second you look at player stuff or smaller comps, some pay out fine but the app turns to mush on a busy arvo. I keep a few open for that reason. The promo rubbish all blends together, sure, but the actual day to day use still isn't the same.
