question Are the Saturday tipsters actually any good or just noise?

Bit of a rant but I swear half the blokes tipping the metro meetings every week are just dressing up obvious favourites and calling it insight. If a horse is already smashed in the market and every man and his dog is on, that is not exactly some genius play hey.

I mostly bet the local gallops and I keep seeing the same stuff - best bet here, value runner there, roughie in the last - then by the arvo you're wondering why you even bothered reading it. Feels like heaps of the public stuff is written to sound smart more than to actually help punters find something decent.

So who's actually worth following, if anyone? Proper form guys, stable mail, trackwork watchers, bookies' movers, X accounts, whatever. Keen to know what people here reckon because I'm pretty close to binning most of the mainstream previews altogether.

And yeah before anyone says do your own form - obviously. I do. Just curious whether anyone's found a tip source for the Aussie meetings that isn't mostly hot air and recycled market moves. Chuck a few names in if you've got them, or say they're all rubbish if that's where you're at.

That's not really the problem though. Bad previews have always been around. The useful ones are the people showing their map and why they think the race sets up a certain way. If all you're reading is a list of picks, yeah, you'll feel burned every arvo.
