I’ve been having a bit of a look around at different local racing tipsters lately - free ones, paid ones, the blokes on X, a couple of podcasts, even the previews some bookies chuck up before the Saturday meets. Thought I’d ask in here because I’m still not totally sold on any one source.
Some seem decent early in the week, then by race day the price is gone and you’re left wondering what the point was. A few others just tip half the card and call it a win if one gets up lol. I’m more keen on people who actually explain the setup a bit - track pattern, map, distance, stable form, that sort of gear - not just “this one wins” and off they go.
The better ones I’ve found so far seem strongest on the metro meetings, especially Sydney and Melbourne, but midweeks and provincials are where I get a bit lost. Feels like there’s heaps of noise out there and not much real edge unless you’re doing most of the form yourself anyway.
So yeah, if you follow anyone for racing and reckon they’re worth a look, who’s been good for you? Doesn’t have to be a miracle worker, just someone fairly sharp and not full of it. Keen to hear what other punters are using before I waste more of my arvo scrolling through the usual suspects.
