Bit of movement already with the weather and a few scratchings coming through, so the Saturday card looks pretty different to what it did yesterday. Couple of runners I was keen on when the track was looking decent are suddenly a lot less appealing if it stays wet... and there’s a jockey change in one of the better races too, which has made the market shuffle around a fair bit.
Feels like one of those meetings where barrier draws and who handles the sting out of the ground are gonna matter heaps more than the raw form line. I’ve seen a few early prices trimmed pretty quickly this arvo, so clearly some punters are onto something. I’m still trying to work out whether to stick with the obvious ones or chuck a few dollars at a mudder at odds.
Anyone got a decent read on the main races? Keen to hear who you reckon gets the right setup, especially if you’ve spotted a roughie or one that’s no hope now with the conditions changing.
