question Wet tracks this weekend... who are you still backing?

Bit of a moving target this weekend hey. With all the rain around, a few races are already looking nothing like they did when markets first went up, and now the scratchings are starting to roll in too.

I was keen to get on early in a couple, but on these bog tracks I always end up second guessing it... some horses just hate the going and others absolutely eat it up. Makes the barrier draw and jockey booking feel way more important as well.

Anyone got a decent read on the main meetings after the latest track updates? Chuck in your best plays, roughies, or even the ones you're steering clear of. Keen to hear who you blokes follow for late mail too, because the early prices have been all over the shop.

I stopped taking the early price if there's more rain coming. First thing I check now is who has actually handled soft/heavy before, then who can settle handy, because the swoopers can get nowhere if they're copping mud all arvo. Anyone else putting the map ahead of raw form this weekend?

I've been leaning more on the late market once the scratchings land. If something keeps getting a little push late and it doesn't need a perfect run, I usually take the hint. Wet days have burnt me heaps backing the flashy one that looked good on paper.
