Bit of a rant slash question... I reckon heaps of punters talk about winning long term, then still smash favourites they "like" instead of taking the number when the bookie's gone a bit off. Makes no sense to me. If the odds are wrong, that's the bet, even if it's a side you wouldn't normally go near.
What does my head in is actually sticking to it. Pretty easy to say you'll follow the price, bit harder when you're backing some average mob and everyone in the group chat is calling you cooked. Do you lot actually stay disciplined with this, or do you drift back into gut-feel punts when the weekend rolls around?
I'm trying to be more ruthless with it myself - grab the early odds, stop caring whether I "rate" the team, and just trust the number. Keen to hear how others do it. What are you looking for before you have a proper crack? Market movement, team news, your own ratings, something else? And are you tracking if you're beating the closing price or is that getting too bloody nerdy?
