Been seeing this come up heaps lately across betting pods, X, a couple write-ups etc - less chat about miracle systems, more chat about just grabbing the better number when a bookie hangs one out there. Bit more old-school punter stuff really... shop around, take the overs, track where the line closes, rinse and repeat.
Keen to know who here actually plays like that and keeps records on it. Not just "yeah mate I got $2.40 and it won" lol, I mean properly checking whether you're beating the market over time. Feels like more people are treating that as the main edge now, especially with AFL/NRL where prices can move pretty quick once team news lands.
Also wondering if it's getting harder now that every bookie seems quicker to move and quicker to get grumpy with anyone who consistently nabs a soft price. Still reckon it's one of the few approaches that makes sense, but maybe I'm behind the times. Anyone doing this seriously at the moment - what sports are you finding best for it, and are you using closing line as the main scorecard or something else?
