question Do you lot raise the bet after a decent hit or keep it the same?

Been mucking around with my bet size lately and I can't decide what's actually smarter on the pokies. Sometimes I start low, then bump it up a bit if the machine feels lively... other times that just burns through the balance way too quick and I end up thinking why the hell did I do that.

Curious what everyone else does. Do you go in with a fixed amount per spin and stick to it no matter what, or do you change it depending on a bonus, a hit, or how the session's going? I know some punters swear by stepping up and stepping down in stages, but I dunno if that's actually helped anyone long term or if it just feels more controlled in the moment.

Keen to hear how you lot handle it, especially if you've got a simple routine that stops you doing your dough in half an arvo.

I wouldn't do it off that feeling tbh. The machine isn't really getting warm or cold, it just feels that way when you've had a couple tease spins. I usually decide the spin size before I start and only change it if I'm deliberately slowing the session down, not because the reels seem chatty.
