Been wondering this lately after a pretty ordinary session... do many of you actually go in with a proper plan for your stake size, or do you just wing it once the reels start teasing?
I keep telling myself I'll do the sensible thing and stay on one bet the whole session, maybe set a hard loss limit and a cash-out point, easy as. Then 15 minutes later I'm bumping it up because the machine feels like it's warming up lol. Classic punter brain.
I've heard people swear by stuff like doubling after a losing streak, pressing after a hit, only increasing after bonus buys or features, splitting bankroll into little chunks for the arvo, that sort of thing. Not even talking about some miracle way to beat pokies - more just whether having a routine stops you doing your dough too fast.
Reckon any of that genuinely helps, or is it mostly just a way to feel more in control while the RNG does whatever it wants anyway?
Keen to hear what you lot do. Flat stakes? Tiny spins for ages? Ramp up and down depending on how the session feels? Any routines you've binned because they were bloody useless?
