question Flat stake or chase the losses... what do you lot actually use?

Been mucking around with different ways of staking on the pokies and I'm curious what people here actually stick with long term.

Some mates swear by keeping the same bet the whole session, some bump it up after a few dead spins, and some do those recovery systems where they try to win back the last miss with the next spin or two. I get the idea behind all of them, but I can't tell if any of it really helps apart from stretching the bankroll a bit if you're disciplined.

For those who've tried a few setups, what ended up working best for you in practice? Not talking magic formula stuff, just things like how big your session bank is, whether you use fixed units, when you increase or cut back, and if you have a hard stop after a decent hit or a rough run.

Keen to hear real examples too. Like if you've gone from chasing to flat staking, did it actually make your sessions last longer, or just feel less stressful? I reckon heaps of us have tested a system for an arvo then binned it after it went pear shaped, so would be good to hear what people still use now.

What helped me was treating the session bank and the spin stake as two separate decisions. I set the stake before I start, then if the game is chewing through it too fast I leave instead of upping. Also works better for me if I decide my cashout point before the first spin, saves heaps of dumb in-the-moment calls.
