Bit of a rant, but I reckon heaps of punters still get sucked in by all these fancy systems like doubling after every loss, chasing sessions, doing weird progressions like theyve cracked the code. For me its mostly nonsense dressed up to sound clever. If the games got the edge, no little pattern with your stake size is magically fixing that.
Im way more into keeping it boring — set a bankroll, pick a base stake that doesnt torch you in 10 mins, and dont go full cowboy because you had a rough spin streak. The amount of people who call it a "plan" when its really just chasing losses with extra steps... yeah nah. Thats how an arvo turns into a filthy mood real quick.
Not saying everyone has to play the same way, but I do think simple stuff works better than all the so-called genius systems. Flat staking, small increases only if youre well up, hard stop if the session feels cooked. Boring? Yep. Better than punting like a maniac because some bloke online swears a ladder system "cant fail"? Also yep.
Curious where everyone else lands on this. Anyone here actually stick to a proper staking routine that holds up over time, or do you reckon all of them are basically just different flavours of self-delusion?
