Been seeing a fair bit of chat lately about punters moving away from the usual spray-and-pray stuff and just hunting the prices that look plain wrong for a short window. Feels like it comes up every arvo now when markets first go up or team news lands.
Not talking miracle systems or some bloke on TikTok yelling about locks either. More the boring sharp angle — backing odds that seem bigger than they should be, then repeating it without doing your stack. Doesn’t sound sexy, but I reckon heaps of people are giving it another look now promos are getting thinner.
What I’m curious about is whether anyone here is actually doing this properly with the Aussie books right now. Are you making your own numbers, just line shopping across a few apps, watching where the closing price lands, or what?
Also feels like the books are way quicker to clip limits or move odds than they used to be... maybe I’m imagining it. Keen to hear if anyone’s still finding decent spots regularly, or if the edge is getting bloody tiny these days.
