question Recovery plans are doing the rounds again — anyone still backs them?

Seen a fair bit of chatter this week about staking plans making a comeback, especially the old recovery-style ones with a new label slapped on them. Every season it feels like someone drags out a ladder system, calls it smarter bankroll management, and suddenly half the punting pages are carrying on like they found gold at the servo.

I’ve been around long enough to know most of this stuff isn’t new at all. Different name, same bones. If the whole idea is basically “lose one, bump the next stake, get square”, then yeah... we already know where that can head when the run goes bad. Doesn’t matter how tidy the spreadsheet looks.

What I am curious about is whether anyone here is actually using a proper staking setup these days that they stick to week in, week out. Flat units? Percentage of bank? Small press after a win? Separate banks for same game multis and live stuff? Keen to hear from people who’ve had a real crack at it, not just the bloke on socials posting one hot arvo.

For me, the only stuff that’s ever felt sustainable is the boring gear — set bank, fixed unit size, know when to stop, don’t chase like a goose. Not sexy, but it keeps you in the game. Still, maybe a few of you have found a system that holds up better than the usual Martingale-adjacent madness.

Chuck in what you’re running and whether it’s actually held up over a decent sample. Wouldn’t mind hearing what’s working for punters right now and what’s just recycled noise.

I reckon the first two are fine, the last one is where I get twitchy. Every time I've tried a little win-press it started neat and ended with me making exceptions. Curious if anyone's found a way to keep that bit disciplined without it drifting.
