question Stop doubling after losses or am I the crazy one?

I keep seeing people talk up these little staking plans like they've cracked the code... double after a miss, bump it every 10 spins, drop back after a hit, all that stuff. Honest take? I reckon most of it is just a fancier way to torch your balance quicker.

Pokies don't care that you've had 12 dead spins in a row. The machine isn't sitting there going righto mate, next one has to pay. That's the bit that does my head in when blokes swear by these recovery setups. Feels like chasing dressed up as discipline.

For me the only thing that even remotely makes sense is keeping the stake steady and having a hard stop, maybe nudge it up a touch if you're already well in front and feel like having a crack. Anything based on "I'll win it back if I step up now" just screams danger.

Am I being too harsh here or nah? Has anyone actually run one of these plans over a decent stretch and had it hold up, not just one lucky arvo where everything landed? Keen to hear if anyone's got real results because from where I'm sitting, most of these ideas are bloody myths.

True, but I think you're aiming at the wrong bit there. Those plans don't change the reels, they just change the player. A decent one can stop you going full galah with the raise button when you're steaming.
