question Playing too many hands online — how'd you fix it?

Been having a crack at low stakes lately and I reckon my biggest leak is just getting bored and clicking into hands I should probably muck. Live I can sit there no worries, online though the pace is heaps quicker and next thing you know I'm defending rubbish or limping stuff that gets me into weird spots.

Curious how you lot tightened up your game when you first started taking it a bit more seriously. Did you use starting hand charts, stick to one table for a while, make notes after each session, something else? I'm mostly playing 6-max and I feel like I talk myself into calling way too often because "maybe this bloke's just having a go"... then yep, turns out he's got it.

Also keen to know if anyone's got a simple routine before a session so you don't just jump in half asleep on the arvo grind and punt off a buy-in doing dumb stuff. Not after wizard-level theory or anything, just the stuff that actually helped you stop spewing chips online.
