question Seeing more solver chat lately — is the game changing that fast?

Been seeing a fair bit lately about coaching apps, solver stuff, even some rooms getting stricter about what people can have open while they play online. Feels like every second clip or article now is about the game getting way more technical than it used to be.

I’m kinda curious where everyone here sits on it. Are regular players actually studying all this stuff now, or is it mostly content creators and high stakes grinders making it sound bigger than it is? I still reckon heaps of punters are just playing by feel, table reads, basic ranges and all that... but maybe I’m behind the times a bit.

Also wondering if this has changed live games much in Aus. Like, are people rocking up way sharper than they were a couple years back, or are local pub/casino games still pretty much the same vibe?

If you’ve changed how you prep for a session lately, what pushed you into it? New training tools, tougher pools, mates talking about it, whatever. Keen to hear what people are actually doing, not just the flashy YouTube version.

i think it depends where you're playing tbh. online tourneys feel way sharper than the random cash tables. are you seeing that jump more in one format than the other, or just everywhere now?
