Been seeing heaps more chatter lately about GTO vids, solver charts, preflop packs, all that gear... feels like every second poker clip or forum post now is about playing "proper" instead of just winging it off reads and population leaks. Even at the smaller stakes, people seem a bit less spewy than they used to be. Maybe I'm imagining it, but the games do feel different.
Curious what you lot reckon — is this actually shifting how people should approach the tables now, or is it still mostly a case of learning the pool and punishing the same old mistakes? I'm wondering how much time is even worth putting into solver study if you're not grinding high stakes. Bit hard to tell what's useful and what's just content creators flogging the latest trend.
If you've changed the way you study or build ranges recently, chuck in what helped. Even basic stuff. Keen to hear whether people are simplifying more, getting more aggressive in certain spots, or just sticking to solid fundamentals and not overthinking the bloody thing.
