question Three bits of card-table advice that actually changed my game

Been trying to tidy up my play a bit lately instead of just winging it and praying the river bails me out. Read and watched a heap of strategy stuff over the last couple of weeks, and most of it felt like fluff, but a few things actually clicked for me.

The biggest one was folding more before the flop. Sounds obvious, yeah, but turns out not every half-decent starting hand is worth getting cute with. I also started paying more attention to position, and bloody hell, that alone made spots feel way easier. Last one was bet sizing with an actual reason behind it instead of tossing out random numbers because they felt about right in the arvo.

Still early days, so I'm not pretending I've cracked it or anything. Just giving the common advice a bit of a review from a normal punter's angle, and so far the simple stuff seems to do more for me than the galaxy-brain theory chat.

Keen to hear what actually helped the rest of you once you got past the total beginner stage. Any little adjustments that made a real difference?
