question Which habit actually lifted your win rate at low stakes?

Been trying to clean up my own game a bit and I’m curious what actually made the biggest difference for people once they stopped just winging it. Not looking for flashy hero-call stuff either, more the boring things that quietly save chips over a long session.

For me, position seems to be the one I keep coming back to. If I get lazy and start defending too wide or mucking around out of position, it turns into a bloody mess pretty quick. Same with chasing hands just because the table’s been quiet for a while. Easy way to torch a stack.

What do you reckon matters most for newer or low-stakes players: tighter preflop ranges, bet sizing, table selection, bankroll discipline, tilt control, taking notes, folding top pair when the line looks awful...? Keen to hear the one adjustment that made things click for you, even if it sounds basic as.

Yeah 100% on position, but the thing that saved me most was paying attention after I'd already folded. Sounds dull as hell, but seeing what people actually turn up with after weird lines teaches you heaps and cuts out a lot of the guessing. Curious if anyone else keeps little notes on showdown hands or if that’s a bit much for low stakes
