question Are the free chip promo codes still worth chasing?

Been seeing a few places pop up with those promo code offers where you get a little starting balance or some spins before chucking in your own cash. Haven't bothered with them for ages, so now I'm wondering if any of them are actually decent anymore or if it's mostly just hoops and tiny max cashouts?

I'm not expecting miracles, just something that's actually usable and not one of those bloody offers where you need to verify half your life story, wager it to the moon, then find out the games you wanted are excluded anyway. Keen to know if anyone's found a legit one lately that was straightforward.

I reckon chasing those little freebies is mostly a waste of time now. By the time you've done the bloody checks and found the sticky winnings bit in the terms, you may as well have taken a normal first-up deal. Only real use for them, for me anyway, is seeing if the site feels dodgy before putting your own cash in.
