question Why are the sign-up freebies suddenly so stingy?

Bit of a rant / heads up more than anything, but the recent crop of sign-up freebies has gone proper downhill. Feels like every site is pushing a few spins or a tiny starting balance, then you click through and it's 60x plus, max cashout hacked to bits, certain pokies blocked, and sometimes you can't even touch it without doing ID first. That's not a free crack, that's bait with a spreadsheet attached.

I get they aren't charities, no worries there, but some of these offers are taking the piss now. Used to be you'd at least find the odd decent one where you could have a real poke without reaching for the card. Lately it's heaps of front-page flash and bugger all value once you read the fine print. Feels like a bunch of brands tightened up at the same time, so I don't reckon it's random.

Anyone else seeing the same lately, or found one that's actually still worth bothering with? Keen to hear which places are doing honest free sign-up promos and which ones are just dressing up a trap. Chuck in any recent shockers too, saves the rest of us wasting an arvo on them.

Yep, that bit. I reckon half of them are just fishing for signups now. Had one the other arvo that looked fine on the front page, then the terms buried a tiny cashout and most of the decent reels were blocked, so I closed it straight away.
