question Reloads used to be decent — now half of them are basically bait

Bit of a rant, but reload promos have gone downhill heaps lately. Feels like every second one looks alright in the email subject line, then you open it and it’s 40x or 50x playthrough, max cashout chopped to bits, certain pokies excluded, and you’ve gotta opt in before some random cutoff in the arvo. By the time you read the fine print it’s not even a promo anymore, just admin with glitter on it.

I honestly reckon a lot of sites bank on people seeing “100% reload” and not checking the boring stuff. I’d rather take a smaller offer that’s actually playable than one of those puffed-up match deals that turns into a slog. Same with free spins promos that dump you onto some dead game nobody was gonna touch anyway... cheers mate, 20 spins on a slot I’d never open on purpose.

For me the only ones worth a look now are the simple ones: low rollover, clear game contribution, no weird max bet trap, and no tiny withdrawal cap that makes the whole thing pointless. If I deposit 50 and run it up nicely, I don’t want to find out the promo rules say I can only take 150 and jog on.

What do you lot actually rate these days? Any sites doing reload offers that are genuinely decent, or are most of you just ignoring them and playing cash only now?

Little tip, I stopped looking at the headline first. I go straight to the terms and check playthrough, max bet and whether winnings are capped. If that stuff is buried or worded weird, I just bail. Also watch how the promo balance gets used on pokies, some places make it chew through the cash side in a way that's easy to miss.

I get that, but I don't fully agree. I still grab the bigger ones now and then if I'm already keen for a long session and not trying to cash out the same night. For me they're more like extended muck-around money than something I'd plan around.

What do you lot do with sticky credit though, instant skip? I bin it pretty much every time because it feels like a bloody argument waiting to happen if you land something decent. If I'm being too harsh, what makes that kind of promo worth touching for you?
